Cartridge Box

"The US M1855 cartridge box should be used (i.e. the type with provision for both belt and sling attachment.) US pattern tins with divider in the top portions are a must. On all leather gear, look for tight hand and period machine stitching used in construction. Avoid the wide modern machine stitching used in most sutler boxes. Avoid stainless steel buckles."  (Bully Boys)

Historic Clothiers (Nick Sekela)

"Highest quality machine or machine/hand stitched boxes." (Bully Boys)

Cap Box

"May be early `shield' type or a later pattern. Look for crisp edges and tight stitching. Should have fleece sewn in top of box to keep caps from falling out. Small loop for holding `nipple pick' is an accurate option."  (Bully Boys)

Historic Clothiers (Nick Sekela)
